Set in an ageing resort on the gulf sea, the intervention called for the rehabilitation of the main activity spine of the complex. The process was initiated by first demolishing a central structure that was obstructing the views of the rear chalets while preventing further development towards the shore. It was replaced by a series of radial platforms informed by the original geometry of the resort. These platforms, topped with shallow pools, house services such as lockers , showers, and a newly allocated space for three restaurants giving directly onto the sea view. The radial design extends as a landscaping strategy involving greenery, additional private pools, seating areas and pergolas. The resulting intervention opens up the central spine to the sea view while formally acknowledging its context to provide a much needed upgrade in terms of program and services.
